We are presently recruiting for a Warehouse Assistant to join our team and be a part of the warehouse & installations division.
The position will suit an individual that enjoys team working, communicating with customers and organising, who is willing to work hard to produce first class results and gain invaluable experience working with industry leading clients on the most prestigious construction projects in the UK.

Your Role, Responsibilities and Duties

As part of the warehousing team, your typical day will be supporting and aiding the day-to-day running of the stores. Ensuring that the kit is ready for our contract managers will be at the forefront of your role to enable the efficiency throughout.

• Pick and pack orders for contacts department ensuring materials are ready for collection by teams as per requirements of planned works.
• Transport materials to suppliers or teams on an Ad-Hoc basis
• Liaise closely with project managers, contracts admin and supervisors to establish collection requirements of materials including definitive dates and times.
• Allocate picked materials to corresponding project work orders using company management system (ERP) This will be done on a maximum weekly basis.
• Work closely with the procurement department to ensure materials requested by project managers will be received in good time, that all stock levels are adequate to fulfil requests and with site teams’ supervisors regarding their van stock of consumable items.
• Manage stock levels in the warehouse across a wide range of product lines, allowing for reactive works and liaise with project managers and assistants on forthcoming projects to establish material requirements for planned works.
• Receive deliveries of goods that pertain to your departments, Check, and record the delivery for correct contents and quantities using ERP and ensure they are stored in the correct and appropriate locations within the warehouse. These will be readily accessible for additions to existing jobs and for the easy identification by site teams.
• Any damaged or missing items from deliveries should be reported upon receipt. Suppliers should be contacted ASAP to amend any discrepancies discovered.
• Manage all contracts department returns. Returned materials should be allocated to corresponding work orders on the ERP on a maximum weekly basis. liaising with site teams to ensure the correct quantities of materials are returned. Any items for scrap will placed in the correct locations for recycling.
• General housekeeping should be carried out daily. The workspace shall be kept clean and clear of hazards. Waste will be managed efficiently, and recycling carried out wherever possible. All cardboard to be re-used for packaging or disposed of using the dedicated recycling bins on site.
• Loading of goods for delivery via couriers and site teams.
• Assisting the team with regular stock checks and updating systems and paperwork as required.
• Carry out any other duties as requested by management in the interests of the business

Qualifications Required

GCSE Grade A*-D English & Maths or equivalents
Driving licence desirable but not necessary
