When inspecting your sites walkways and gantries, our role is to report any findings in light of current recommendations of good practice. For this, we work to the British Standards:
- BS 5395-3:1985 Code of Practice for the design of industrial type stairs, permanent ladders and walkways.
- BS 4592:2006 Industrial type flooring and stair treads. Metal open bar gratings.
As part of the process, our test & inspection engineers inspect walkways and fixed gantries, ensuring they are compliant with current legislation. Whilst also checking for items that may present an obvious hazard, such as slips, trips, falls, impact damage etc. They will check that all fixings are secure, that all moving parts operate correctly. We allocate each item a unique reference number, tag the item identifying next inspection due date and provide you with a report with our findings.
This provides you with complete peace of mind that the walkways and fixed gantries are fully compliant and that safety is being maximised.
